(Canadian General Standards Board) The Canadian Institute for NDE is an Approved Test Centre, conducting written and practical examinations for the Department of Natural Resources Canada in accordance with CGSB Standards. Written Examinations: Written examinations held at our facility are scheduled most Friday mornings. Please note that candidates are requested to inform us of their intent to write before the examination date. Candidates should be aware that written examinations start at 9:00 a.m. and that they should, therefore, allow ample time for registration on the day of the examination; fifteen (15) minutes are suggested. All registration is in CINDE's main office (Portable #7). Upon arrival to write an exam, candidates must present the admittance form received from the Certifying Agency. Examinations are held in various locations within Mohawk College and the candidates will be advised of the location at the time of registration. Weekend Scheduling: We will be offering to our students and members the third Saturday of every month for exams and workshops. Please contact our office for exact dates. Pre-registering on this day is necessary. Providing staffing is available, special examination arrangements can be made and a premium will be charged. Practical Examinations: These are arranged by appointment, are conducted at our facility, and can be for radiography, ultrasonics, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle and eddy current. Candidates are requested to pay the sitting fee in cash, certified cheque, money order, debit card, American Express, Mastercard or VISA. Written exams are scheduled most Friday mornings and candidates are requested to inform the Institute of their intent to write.
