Magnetic Particle Levels 1 & 2 (On-line)
TRAINING OBJECTIVES: This course provides detailed instruction in the theory and practices of magnetic particle
inspection, including the capabilities and limitations of the method. Instruction will be given in generally accepted inspection techniques in accordance with codes and standards.

- Course Completion Criteria
1. Attendance
The entire 24 hours of instruction are mandatory, and 100% attendance is required.
2. Pass Grade
Students must achieve an overall final average of 70%. Quizzes given during the course contribute 30% and the Final exam contributes 70% to the overall final grade.
3. Completion Certificate
Students meeting the Course Completion Criteria will receive a CINDE training certificate confirming they have met the theory training requirements in accordance with CAN/CGSB 48.9712.
- Attaining Certification
To meet the full requirements of CAN/CGSB-48.9712, ISO 9712 and SNT-TC-1A, students must additionally complete a minimum of 16 hours of practical hands-on training. Learn more about the Canadian certification requirements at: http://ndt.nrcan.gc.ca/eligibility_requirements_e.htm
Employers or students are responsible for arranging practical training. Information about CINDE workshops is available at: http://www.cinde.ca/courses/workshops.shtml
An advantage of the CINDE on-line course is that theory training is taken from work or home, thus eliminating travel expenses. Travel would only be necessary for the practical workshop and certification testing, which can usually be scheduled within the same week.
