In addition to the courses offered to general industry, CINDE can tailor a
program for any company wishing to train their personnel "on-site".
The costs of training and certification are increasing and creating a burden on both the
individual and the employer. At the same time, nondestructive testing applications and demands
for better quality and safety are proving that the investment in time, training, up-grading and
certification in the NDT field is worthwhile and profitable.
If there is a need for NDT training of several personnel in one or more of the NDT
disciplines, and/or the training must cover specific products or applications, then the
in-plant training course is indeed more economical. In essence, this means that the
Institute will bring the course to the students. Student living and travel expenses
are eliminated and the time delays in the training of many individuals are minimized.
The course can be modified to emphasize specific products and testing of company products,
or specialize in preventative maintenance inspection techniques. Course length will depend
on the level of instruction required, number of students and the test methods involved.
CINDE instructors are experts in their respective fields. Their backgrounds,
in addition to technical aspects, include broad experience in applying nondestructive
testing in industry from primary materials products, secondary processing and manufacturing
to in-service inspection and prevention of equipment failure.
CINDE will provide portable instruments, test equipment, test samples and all
training materials. The texts and manuals provided become the property of the company.
A wide variety of companies, government agencies, educational institutions and other
organizations have contracted CINDE for in-plant training courses. Courses
have been conducted for the petro-chemical industry, steel producers, welding fabricators,
marine engineering, foundry personnel, aircraft and pulp and paper companies.
